Assignment 5B

In a way, I bent the rules for myself in doing this assignment. At first we were told to do a story about a campus issue, but then we were allowed to expand it to include interesting campus related stories. The most interesting story I came up with involved the director of the campus mailroom, Mike Dejesus, who is a member of the US Air Force and is deporting on a tour of duty in Iraq next month. This isn't a campus issue, but as everyone, students and teachers alike, receives mail, I thought they might be interested to know a little more about the person who makes sure they get it. I tried to connect it to the larger campus as best I could, asking questions about other members of the military on campus and different military aid offices, but he only knew so much. Whether or not this fits all of the criteria, I thought it was a really interesting story and as well as a good interview.
